So, what does taking care of your body have to do with
psychic stuff? Simple: Spirit works through your brain. In other words, you're only going to get the messages as clearly as the health of your brain. Now, lets say you've got a healthy brain but your body is uncomfortable. Well, then all you're going to be hearing is your body trying to tell you what's wrong with him or her. It is going to trump all the other messages you are receiving. The healthier you keep your body, the easier it will be for you to hear 'other' psychic messages.
Once a day, sit with your pen and journal and quietly ask yourself, "What do I need today?" Write down your answer. It may be something about your physical being other times it will be about some aspect of your life.
Shopping Exercise: The next time you're at the grocery store, ask yourself, "What is good for my body?" If you already have
a solid relationship with yourself, starting asking body [directly] what foods it needs to stay healthy. Ask yourself in your mind. All parts of you are always listening. Okay, now that you're getting your body stuff on track, what about the emotional stuff? Your emotions are messengers. They let you know when something is going on inside of you. Each time something 'comes' up for you, grab your journal.
Journling Exercise: Ask yourself, "What is this feeling trying to tell me?" If you get something like "I'm Afraid." Then ask yourself what you're afraid of or why. You'll be taking notes and dialoging with yourself. I cannot stress enough the value and importance of self-soothing and communication.
It's going to be constant in your life (and, you'll start to enjoy depending on you) because you are the only one that can truly sooth you. Your emotions are messengers~ they are bringing you the message. Once you learn to chat with yourself, you'll notice you feel better all of the time, life is easier, you are more comfortable and confident. You really are your best support system.
Taking a Break is Healthy! You may find that the messages are simply to have a time-out or to take a break. (So Important!) Just stepping away from the world for thirty minutes can change everything. Whatever your messages are, write them down and take them seriously. Never ignore the inner parts of you or what they are saying. If you can't quite understand what the message is, don't fret. Keep asking yourself, you'll get the answer.
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ And, of course, the last piece of the balance and happy communication with yourself is who you surround yourself with. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
Journaling Exercise: Make a list of all of the people you are
around on a regular basis (leave room for notes). Go through your list and write out a bit about each person and how you feel:~ Before you see them.
~ When you're with them
~ And after you leave them.
Go through everything [later], be honest with yourself, and start thinking about the changes you need to make. For example: See the ones that make you feel happy more and the ones that make you feel icky, less. :) You'll be amazed to find how everything falls into place once you start becoming aware of how people affect you and you make a conscious effort to change it.
