Can Psychics Read [for] Themselves?

This is one of the most common questions with some of the most diverse answers. Actually, try it ~ ask people (preferably psychics lol) or people that are going to them and see what everyone says. In truth... there is no correct answer to this question because everyone is different. Everyone has their own path, life lessons, life challenges and (simply) their own interests. It's impossible to group all of anything together ~ people, careers, things, readings... it's like saying all zucchini tastes exactly the same. It doesn't matter where or how it's grown, if it's cooked or raw, spiced or plain; zucchini is zucchini so it always tastes the same. Really? Exactly the same? Impossible, the same flavor, maybe but not exactly the same.
It sounds silly when it's put this way... And, I'm not trying to offend anyone by comparing them to a vegetable. (I do love zucchini, by the way. Just so you know, my comparison comes from an adoring place.)

... The word you is used in place of everyone, him, her etc. (Do not be offended if something does not fit you specifically, glaze over that sentence. I'm not attacking anyone or any belief system here.) I use the word you (all the time) because it's more personal and your subconscious mind pays closer attention to things that are addressing it specifically.  And, it sounds better, simpler and nicer. I use the word we a lot because it is a good reminder (to all levels of you) that each and everyone of us is connected to the other in some way. And, it's soothing and comforting, that in itself is lovely.

Back to the topic of psychics and thier abilities. All psychics are different; how they read, how or where their information or impressions come from and why they do it. Some have great control of when and how and others... Well, don't. It's about consciousness. Just because someone cannot get the information for you does not mean they can't get it for someone else and just because they can't get it for themselves doesn't mean they can't get it for you. Never assume anyone is an all empowered perfect being of radiating Light (although, we all have our enlightened moments). We are in a body for a reason and you have no idea what that person is here doing, learning or experiencing. And, never assume that you know how 'unenlightened' someone is. People can be very advanced mentally and handicapped spiritually or their Higher Selves can be at an extremely high vibration but they can't read or write or even process information very quckly. Some people are advanced emotionally and slow intellectually. You have no idea of the path of anyone's Soul but your own, and even then that is usually iffy. lol


Back to the question, "Can psychics read for themselves?"
I cannot say, "No." because that's not true. I cannot say, "Yes, they can." because many cannot, won't, don't want to or just don't think to ask or check certain things. So, I will say this...

~ You only get psychic information for two reasons:

1. to prepare for the future    
        OR
2. to change it

And, if it's not to your Highest Good to get the answer (for whatever reason) you won't. 

Note: Remember that;

to prepare for the future or to change it. Etch it in your mind. (You can meditate on this the rest of your life and you'll still come up with new insights to every aspect of your life and the power of your mind and Spirit. It seems so simple and easy, when in truth it is very profound.) 


Back to the answer: Everyone can learn to read for themselves. Or, more accurately, tune into their Higher Selves and get the best guidance for them in every aspect of their lives. Everyone can work with their subconscious mind to clear away and emotions or blocks that keep them from getting the information that they want. Everyone can work with their thinking so that their conscious thoughts do not block the information coming in, or more honestly, calm and steady their mind so that higher information can be channeled clearly all of the time and not limited to meditation or during a session.


And, Spirit will not answer you if you do not ask Spirit. (You must ask the question or, at least, look for the answer [there].) If you run around asking everyone and their dog what you should do, why would any part of you give you an answer? You're busy getting the information from everywhere [else]. If you're constantly saying, "I don't know. I don't know. I don't know... blah blah blah..." If a part of you does know, you just told it, "No, you don't." so it's not going to tell you either.

Try this simple exercise to train yourself to ask yourself before everyone else:

1. Carry around a special coin. 
2. Randomly ask yourself questions. 
3. Flip the coin. 
4. Get the answer/direction(s).


Here's the Directions: 

• Address the question (phrased like a statement) to your Higher Self. 
• Ask about yourself only.
• Use a specific time tense.
• Be clear, concise and simple when making your statement.
• Label the sides of the coin. Heads is= yes/no Tails= yes/no before you do anything.    (It works best if you use the same thing every time. Remember, the key to this exercise is training yourself to ask yourself. Do not get caught up on the coin. It's just a teaching tool.)
• And use this phrase: "It's to my Highest Good to _____________"

I know, it seems silly. But ~  it works. You're training and programming yourself to ask yourself. Practice with simple things you are unsure of or things you don't really care about. (You can do things like: if it's to your Highest Good to buy this item tomorrow or call someone back now.) Once you get more comfortable, you can start asking abut your diet, exercise or sleep patterns, books to read, classes to take,  etc.; pretty much anything and everything that has to do with improving your health and well being in every aspect of your life.

Here's the Don't List: 

• Do not do things about how you feel. You should know how you feel and if you don't, meditate on that. 
• Do not ask what your Higher Self wants you to do or if 'it' is happy with you or proud of you. It does not work like that.
• Do not make an or statement.  You can do two separate statements. (If you get a yes for both, then it doesn't matter.)
• Don't make a major life decisions from tossing a coin.

This is  not all encompassing truth. This is training. The more you do it, the easier it is for you to think of your Higher Self before you think of going to someone else, picking up the phone or running to someone. And, again  do not fixate on the coin. It's just a coin. You'll get rid of it soon enough, or maybe you'll want to keep it around because you like it ~ not because you need it.

You have everything you need inside of you to get you where you want to be, to answer all of your questions and to guide you every step of the way. You already have it. Now, you're just learning how to access it and use it to your benefit  (to your Highest Good) and to the best of your ability at the time.

There is a difference between being psychic and being enlightened. Psychic are not all knowing, elevated beings. They are people. Everyone has a destiny, life purpose, life path. And everyone has a skill set that they have developed, learned, and worked at to be successful in their career. If you are going to a psychic, you are going to see them to utilize, appreciate and pay for their knowledge, training, and (usually) their patience and understanding.


Are all Psychics the same?

All psychics are different. Every psychic has their own style of reading- giving a psychic reading, or more accurately, how they get their information, interpret it and give it back to you.


Does it matter if I tell them things or should I be quiet during my reading?

It depends on the psychic. It depends on how they do their readings, get their information and personal preference. The best thing for you to do is ask them, before you start, so you both enjoy it more.


How accurate are they?

It does depend on the psychic and the person getting the reading. (As the client you are able to block the reader from getting information from you.)

Everyone has a Higher Self. It is your Higher Self that goes and gets the perfect guide for you. And sometimes your Higher Self will get you different guides for different times and circumstances in your life.


How much should I pay for a psychic???
I never know if I’m getting ripped off…

Usually, as with anything, you get what you pay for. Beware of varying prices, services, and length of readings. Watch out for people who promise the impossible, continually ask you to come back and bring more money each time. No bargaining; unless they are running a special for everyone, no bargaining. In other words, we all get desperate and feel like our worlds are crumbling, don’t give all of your money away in hopes that this person, or any person, for that matter is going to wave a magic wand and ‘poof’ your whole life is better. (if you created it, you can fix it, change it or heal it- one of the may joys of having free will) You have to take care of yourself. Remember, after you walk out of that office- it’s your life you have to live in, not theirs. Don’t give away your hard earned money because you are terrified, spend your money because you are comfortable and want to. So, if it doesn’t feel legit… it’s probably not. If you are concerned, check around and if there is a wide range between them, just ask them. They are psychic but they are people, too and not all of them work for themselves or set their own prices; the one ones that do, own their own businesses.

If you can’t afford it… you may not be ready for the information or they may not be the right person for you, or maybe the timing is off. Ask your Higher Self and wait for your answer.


Do you tip?

It’s a service industry; but usually not as a scheduled session but almost always at parties. A good rule of thumb is if there is a tip jar sitting out. If they are wonderful and you want to show them that you really enjoyed it/them, tips are always appreciated but most people love return customers and referrals! (And being told always bring a smile!)


How can I tell if they are good or not?

Listen to your intuition. Check in with yourself: Do you like their voice- the way you feel when you talk to them? Are you comfortable with them? Do you relax in their space? Are they nice to you? Patient? Kind? Calm?


How do I make the reading better?

That’s an easy one. Ask your Higher Self and their Higher Self to make the best use of today’s time. Ask for your Highest Good to come to you- that all the information is for/to your Highest Good.


Can anyone develop psychic abilities?

Everyone has psychic abilities. Anyone can learn to develop their intuition. Although, not are called to do it as a profession, everyone can benefit from listening to their inner voice. Psychic ability is a skill that needs to be trained, cultivated and used regularly. You must act on the messages you receive. Practice, develop your psychic abilities, listen to your intuition and then take an advanced psychic abilities and channeling class that develops your abilities to their maximum potential. You will be able to use/access and understand the levels of Spirit. Start utilizing the unexplored vastness of your mind!

Can anyone ‘be’ a psychic?

Everyone can develop their psychic abilities but not everyone is cut out to be a psychic reader, nor would everyone that ‘is psychic’ wants to read for people. It is a profession, a career and it’s one of those fields that you have to really love to make it in.
