All you have to do is follow the first 5 steps. We'll go over the last two next session. And, yes, you need a journal for this!
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ For today [this exercise], pick something you'd like to be more positive about. (If you'd like to do it on your own, do 1-3 in your journal.)
Ok. Your one thing: It can be whatever you'd like. If you're unsure, pick something you're already working on. It can be improving your relationships (with yourself or others), your career, job or hobbies, body image or something you're trying to achieve. You may want to try something simple, just to get the hang of this. You can change it up later.
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Write about whatever you picked.
In your writing try to include:
Who
What
Why
When
Where
The How will be answered in Number 4.
Does it seem complicated? Simplify it. Write a short paragraph about why you want to be more positive about _______, that you're starting now, all of the people and things that will be affected by your decision and how the different aspects of your life will be improved.
Here's an example:
Focus: Relationship with My Body
Improving my relationship with My Body is a priority to me because My Body is valuable and important. I choose to be positive about building a relationship with my body now. Having a good relationship with My Body improves every aspect of my life because she (use whatever gender your body is) is part of everything that I do. By having a good relationship with myself, I am better able to improve my relationships with everyone around me.
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ So, now, how are you going to be more positive about _________? Make your list to answer this question. Write down at least 10 different things. You don't need to use complete sentence, it can be one or two words, jot down all of your ideas and thoughts. The sky is the limit! let your creative juices run wild!
Here's some examples:
say nice things to myself
compliment My Body
exercise
eat healthy
listen to My Body
check in with her
meditate
listen to my downloads
listen to I Take Care of My Body
drink more water
go to bed on time
use a hypnosis download to go to sleep
increase my yoga practice
pamper her
do my nails (so pretty!)
play outside
go on a hike
walk through the grass barefoot
Yay! You did it!
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Number 5, you do on your own each day.
And, remember, you only need to pick one thing a day that supports your goal. Do whatever you feel like. The longer the list, the more option that you have. And, if you want to do more than one thing a day, Woo-Hoo! Do two or three or more! Have fun!

Warning: If you're a negative thinker, try to avoid all the 'proof' that nothing works until you build up your own thoughts and feelings in a direction that you want to go. (Avoid reading and studying when you are in a passive negative state or if you are feeling particularly pessimistic.) If you are a pessimistic person, fix that first. Who you are and how you think IS what manifests in your life.
