Revisiting your Goals

You've set some goals for yourself. 
Now, how do you stay on track? 
#1 Thing: Don't give up on yourself! Ever.
Let's talk reality of goals and sticking to them. Did you know, they say by the third week of January most people have given up on their New Year Resolutions? :( And, as much as it is everywhere, that it takes 21 days to create a habit, the truth is ~ it takes at least two months. And, for some people, almost half a year. That's what this blog entry is for. Don't Give Up! We're about two and a half months into the new year... So, if you haven't stuck with your resolutions, So What?! Today you Start Over. If you have been achieving them, you can add stuff to them or use these exercises to yourself keep going! 

Get out your journal! You'll want to start documenting how
long it takes you to achieve your goals or create a good, solid habit for yourself. If you're a weekly or monthly goal setter, go look and see how you're doing. If you only set them at the beginning of the year, dig out your New Year Resolution list. The more you document and keep track of yourself, the better you'll know how to work with you. Plus, journaling is fun and enlightening!

It's nearly impossible to write up something that is specific that's going to fit everyone. Some of you have habits that you need to create a couple times a day and others have something that you need to do once a month or have completed within a year's time. So, here's what we are going to do. You are going to manage you. Discipline is key. If you have self discipline, you can do and achieve anything. 

So, going over your goals: whatever fits you, put it in your
phone, on your calendar~set an alarm if you have to. All you're doing is checking your progress and reminding yourself that your goals are important. An, then, when the reminder goes off... You Journal. Just a couple lines are fine. But, do it. Write. With a Pen. On Paper. In a Journal. Why? Because everything will be in one place and that is priceless. Plus, you want to congratulate yourself when you are on track and gently move yourself back to your focus if you've veered off of your path. 


Now, here's the other challenge: How do you stay excited? And,excited meaning, motivated. I've created some cutie exercises (memes) that you
can use as journaling prompts and/or screen savers (they should be the correct size for nearly every device) and/or posts on your social accounts that remind you that this year (every year) you can create what you want. There aren't any dates on them, so you can start or stop anytime. You'll never get behind! There's well over 300 of them, so, you don't have to worry about running out of stuff to do! ;) Plus, they're not being posted all at once, so, no worries about getting overwhelmed! They are a gentle (and aesthetically pleasing!) reminder that you are worth it. That creating your life is up to you! There's a board on Pinterest that will have all of them. They'll be posted on Twitter (@PsychicTidbits) with an exercise that matches the meme and added to the Pinterest Board. Have fun with them! They are created specifically for you. :) 






So, how do I do it? Well, I'm a journaler, so my way is a bit different. Listen to yourself and set reasonable and achievable goals for yourself. I journal a lot. I keep track of everything (I mean everything). As far as goals go, I'll use content as the example. I set daily, weekly, monthly and
yearly goals. I check them off when they are done or move them to the next week. I don't get discouraged or upset if I didn't 'do it' or 'get it' or 'achieve it', I simply start over tomorrow, next week or next month. I write everything in my schedule book, have a daily goal journal and a scribble ideas down journal. Plus, I announce everything new on my  Changes Made Easy Blog the beginning of each month. This is what works for me. Play around with it. Discover for yourself what motivates and encourages you. If you start getting all hair-balled, stop what you're doing, and try doing it a different way. You're not cracking a whip, you're learning how to work with yourself. And, above all, Have Fun! Happy Achieving!

Everyone asks, "Do they work?" Well, that's what the 24 free trial is for. Check it out for yourself. Everyone always has an opinion and advice (about everything), but there's nothing like the experience of discovering and figuring something out for yourself, no matter how big or small. You know you. You're the one who knows what you want and what you need and you are the one who knows what you like. It's great to get input from other people (especially those you trust/are in your inner circle) but remember, that's 
what it is. Always ask your Higher Self what is to your Highest Good. You'll get the guidance and answers you need. 
And, remember you can ask about anything. Really, anything. Speaking of asking your Higher Self for help, that's your homework over the next few weeks. Even if you're loving life right now, get into the habit of asking your Higher Self what is to your Highest Good. There's a lot of manifesting and goal setting coming up over the next few months and best way to prepare is to get in the habit of checking in with yourself!

Holiday Help! & Exercises

Healthy Body Stuff: What's the best thing you can do for yourself during any stressful time? Eat healthy, drink plenty of water and get a good night's sleep. Take care of your body and your body will take care of you. If you know that you're taking care of your body then the anxiety and other ways that stress may surface is much easier to pinpoint the whys. If you're ever feeling icky, remember all you need to do is ask yourself what the message is. If that's confusing, at all, click the link to get the complimentary explanation of the What's The Message? class series. The short audio explains messages. Download the Example .jpeg, it gives a great definition! 

You Time: You want to carve out some alone time or your own personal time-out time and space (you want to have a place that you can get away~even if only for a few moments).  It's awfully easy to get overwhelmed when you have a huge list of to-dos, there's a ton of things going on and a thousand people all needing something from you~all at the same time. 
Stress Less: Find (and figure out) those people and things that always seem to cause you stress, anxiety or push you over the edge (or push your buttons!) and slowly start weeding them out. Maybe it's five minutes here and ten minutes there. However you do it, slow or fast is up to you and your comfort level. When you eliminate the things that 'naturally' cause you stress, you'll be amazed to find how much more manageable life is all of the time. 
Know Yourself: Yes, No & Maybe~Saying what you mean! And only committing to what you really want to do will make a tremendous difference in your life. This isn't something that you're expected to change overnight. This is something that you aspire to perfect. The more you say yes, no or maybe (whatever your challenge is: overcommitting, never committing, indecision) in accordance to what you really want, like and feel is right for you, the easier it will become and the clearer it will be to you of how you want to spend your time. Let this part be super fun! You're stretching, growing and learning about yourself. Woo-Hoo! 


Set your Intention for the Day: This doesn't have to be
some long drawn out thing, just simply decide what you want your day to be like and spend 30 seconds picturing it. Work up to 3 minutes. You'll be amazed to find how that 3 minutes in the morning changes your whole day! You can do this as many times as you like or need to throughout the day. Remember, you're reminding your subconscious mind that this [what you are picturing] is what you want now. You're Lighting your own Way & Creating your Day! 

Staying in Control: Yay! For all of the holiday parties and seeing everyone you haven't seen all year! Staying in control does not mean don't have fun, it means, before you go out, decide [in your mind] that you're going to stay present. Really, that's it. You decide and have your mind set on it, that you're not going to ______. Convince yourself and it will work. Be sure to use this before drinking, or in any situations that you 'worry' about yourself. This goes for food, too. Oh, and over-emotional conversations. It's anything that's over the top or too much. Think Balance. Think Healthy. And, Think, 
"I Stay in Control of Myself."

Psychic Development: Daily Journal



Congratulations! You've done a great job and have done a ton of work on yourself. Woo-Hoo!!! Now, we're moving into making everything that you've learned so far second nature. You've been creating a solid routine (getting into the habit) of working with/paying attention to yourself and this week you're going to concrete it into your mind. 



This week is all about you and how you want to live your life. It's about what makes you happy. Listen to downloads that make you feel good. If you 'know' the ones you've been listening to, it's time to add something new to the mix. Again, pick something you like, you could even listen to something fun! 

The most important thing for you to focus on this week is keeping all the things up that you have started while adding in a daily journal session. Your journal entries (this is what your daily journal is for ~click here if you need more information) can

be as long or as short as you wish. The key this week is to write everyday. If the exercise Journaling to Create What You Want worked well for you, you can do that again or try something different. The point is getting into the habit (and enjoying it!) and making it part of your regular routine. This should fit into your life easily. If it's not, keep working at it. You'll find your perfect schedule. 


Here's some ideas for you. You can do the same type of session everyday or you can change it with your mood. The key? Do it everyday. If you already have a technique that works for you, do that. This is a great time to experiment with a variety of journaling practices.

Because you don't have any new (regular) journal entry homework this week, you may want

to clean up your journal (from all of the homework so far) and organize it. Now, you know
how to get answers from yourself and how you like to do it. This week is a great time to go through what you've done so far and get any unanswered questions, answered. 

If you're still unsure of how or what to write, here's a link to some simple journaling instructions and last week's Journaling to Create What You Want assignment. 




Meditation Assignment:
All of your Meditation Assignments are for you to get to know you. It's your responsibility to keep up with what you asked yourself last week. You can continue to ask the same types of questions, build on the last session or start something completely new. It's up to you. If you're still working on ______, then keep at it! 

~*~Tune into your Higher Self:
Try this technique 3 times this week and document it in your meditation journal. (If you're comfortable, you can start to increase your meditation time. The easiest way is to increase it in 5 minute increments. Whatever you increase it to, sit for that amount of time, every time. (Once you get into the hours, you can tailor your sessions with a variety of chunks of time. Until then, work up to 60 minutes by adding just 5-10 minutes a week.)

~*~The Ask Yourself/Meditate on That Technique:
Do this technique 3x this week and write about your experiences in your Meditation Journal. 

Writing Assignments: 
This is different than your daily entries. This is something you should be doing weekly. You could be spending 3 minutes to an hour on this. It's up to you. This section is to be sure that you stay on track and that you get the most out of this class. So, keep reviewing, rewriting, scratching goals off the list and create new ones and, of course, keep congratulating yourself! 
  1. Review your Goals.
  2. Review your Psychic Goals.
  3. Review your eCourse Goals. 
  4. Add in daily journal time to your schedule.
  5. At the end of the week: Review your schedule and if it needs it: Write out your (new) Schedule. 
  6. Make notes next to each Goal: Now it's important to keep checking and to be sure everything is still supporting and complimenting each other.

Now, you've gotten into the hang of doing this every week. Good Job! This week you can do any two downloads [in your workbook] that you like. Pick one hypnosis download and one meditation download.

Is there a download that fits what you're struggling with now or one that reinforces what you're creating? Is there anything that you're craving or that you 'want' to hear? If you haven't tried any new ones, now is a good time. This week you'll be doing 2 downloads for your workbook homework and 7 downloads for your daily homework assignment. That's 9 total. You can keep using the ones that you have or start some new ones.)

Another recommended download is Healing Waters. You can use this guided meditation anytime you want (or need) and healing, soothing energy in/for your mind, body and emotions. Journal for your daily entries: You should already have one. If not, start now, and pick anything that you like. It can be large or small, lined or unlined. You may find that a calendar itself suits you or a journal that has spots for you to review and write about your day. You daily journal needs to be completely separate from everything else. You need a new, separate journal for next week. If you can't figure it out, get something that you like looking at everyday. And, while you're shopping and brainstorming about what type fits you the best, think of what colors, images and/or wording that is going to reinforce your goals and line of thinking every single time you look at it.

 Journal! Keeping a record of your experiences and thoughts is priceless. Sometimes we forget why we made the choices we did or how we came to the conclusions. Those amazing Ah-ha moments may slip from our minds or our dreams may fade throughout the day~ journaling keeps them alive and accessible [to our conscious minds/selves]. You can start simple, once a week is great. You can write only when you get the inspiration or when you wake up from a vivid dream. Journaling is a very simple commitment you make to yourself saying, "I want to know what the inner levels of me are saying, thinking, feeling..." A journal can be anything from a spiral bound notebook to an application you have on your phone. You want to use whatever you feel comfortable with. Make it something convenient, personal and special. If you worry about other people reading it, get a small one that you keep on you at all times or have a lock on your phone or on that file in your computer.
